Thanks to the residents of the Town of Shapleigh on April 1st, 2019 the Shapleigh Rescue Squad was funded for 24/7 coverage.


The Shapleigh Rescue Squad has a current roster of 18 members. Which includes; 4-Paramedics, 4-AEMT's, 9- EMT's, and 1- Driver.

Our current command staff:

Chief of Service, Lindsey Lacourse, Paramedic with 9 years of EMS experience,  has been a member of the Shapleigh Rescue squad since August of 2015. Chief Lacourse was made interim Chief of Service on June 6th, 2019 and on January 1st, 2020 was appointed for a one year term by the Shapleigh Board of Selectmen. On December 15th 2020 Chief Lacourse was appointed for an additional two year term to be completed December 31st 2022.  Chief Lacourse can be reached at rescuechief@shapleigh.net or at the station 207-636-2211 ext 3002


Assistant Chief, Jeffrey LeDuc, Paramedic, joined the Shapleigh Rescue Squad in October of 2019. He came to us with many years of service as Assistant Chief of Newington NH Fire and Rescue and various other organizations. He was appointed Assistant Chief on January 1st, 2020 for a one year term. On January 1st 2021 he was re-appointed as Assistant Chief for a two year term.


Training Captain, Gene Streck, AEMT, joined the Shapleigh Rescue Squad in October of 2019. He came to us with years of service in training and MCI planning. He was appointed on January 1st, 2020 as Training Captain. He was re-appointed on January 1st of 2021 for another two years as the Training Captain.


Operation Lieutenant, Bryant Jackson, EMT, joined the Shapleigh Rescue Squad as a driver and became one of the first per-diem employees in April of 2015. Lieutenant Jackson has served in the roll for 3 years and was re-appointed on January 1st of 2021 for another one year term.


Community Education Officer, Robert Kirton, EMT, joined the Shapleigh Rescue Squad as a driver and became a licensed EMT. Robert also serves as the Chaplin for both Shapleigh Fire and Shapleigh Rescue.
